Cookie policy
Overview
This site uses a small number of cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Google Maps, embedded on every page, may set its own cookies according to Google's policy.
Categories
Essential
Stores your cookie consent choice in a cookie named rdw_consent and mirrors it in local storage under cookie_consent_v1. Always active.
Functional
Reserved for future site features such as remembering display preferences. Currently unused.
Analytics
We do not run analytics scripts. This category is disabled and collects nothing.
Maps
Relates to Google Maps embeds. Maps load regardless of this toggle; the toggle records your preference only.
Manage preferences
Use the button below to reopen the cookie panel and change your choices at any time.
Retention
Consent cookies expire after one hundred eighty days. You may clear them earlier through your browser settings.
Cookie categories — detail
Essential: Remembers that you responded to the banner and stores consent JSON in rdw_consent. Without this cookie the banner would appear on every page load. Duration: one hundred and eighty days. Path: /. SameSite: Lax.
Functional: Optional. Would remember UI preferences such as collapsed sections if implemented. Currently minimal.
Analytics: Not deployed. Toggle records preference only for future transparency.
Maps: Google Maps iframes may set third-party cookies when loaded. Google may process IP address, device identifiers, and interaction data. See Google’s privacy policy. You may disable maps preference; embeds remain hidden until you enable Maps.
Manage: Use the button on this page to reopen the panel. Changes overwrite prior consent in cookie and localStorage.
You may block cookies in browser settings. Essential consent memory may fail and the banner will reappear. localStorage can be cleared separately in developer tools.
Do Not Track
We do not respond to DNT signals because no tracking stack is deployed beyond maps embeds.
Updates
Cookie practices may change; last updated date reflects current version.
Examples
Essential cookie value example (URL-encoded JSON): essential true, functional false, analytics false, maps true, version 1, ISO timestamp. Actual value varies by choice.
Third parties
Google Maps Privacy Policy applies to embed interactions. We do not control third-party retention.
Session vs persistent
Consent cookie is persistent for one hundred and eighty days, not session-only.
We do not use cookie walls; the site remains readable while the banner is visible. We do not use pre-checked non-essential boxes; defaults are off except essential memory. Reject all is as prominent as accept all. Customise opens the panel without dark-pattern overlays. Save writes immediately to cookie and localStorage. Manage on this page reopens with stored state. Hard refresh does not reset consent within one hundred and eighty days. Keyboard users can tab to all controls; focus rings are visible. Reduced motion removes banner slide animations. No analytics scripts load regardless of toggle until we deploy them and update this notice.
For cookie support write [email protected] with browser name and the date you saved preferences.

Consent storage — technical detail
When you save a choice, the site writes two records in parallel. The HTTP cookie rdw_consent holds a URL-encoded JSON object with keys for essential, functional, analytics, maps, version, and timestamp. Attributes are Path=/, Max-Age=15552000 (one hundred eighty days), SameSite=Lax, and Secure when served over HTTPS. Separately, localStorage key cookie_consent_v1 stores the same JSON unencoded so a partial cookie clear does not silently reset your preferences.
On page load, the consent script reads the cookie first; if absent, it falls back to localStorage; if both are absent, the banner displays with all optional categories defaulting to off. Accept all sets functional and maps to true; reject all sets them to false while still writing essential true so the banner does not reappear on every visit. The customise panel reads current state from whichever store is present and overwrites both on save. Changing preferences does not reload the page; map iframes mount or unmount according to the maps boolean without requiring a full navigation. Clearing cookies via browser settings removes the cookie but may leave localStorage intact — use both controls if you want a complete reset.

Storage details
The rdw_consent cookie stores a JSON preference object URL-encoded, path /, max-age one hundred and eighty days, SameSite Lax, Secure on HTTPS. A mirror in localStorage under cookie_consent_v1 provides redundancy if cookies are cleared partially.
Manage cookies reopens the bottom-left panel with saved toggles. Accept all enables functional and maps preferences; reject all disables optional categories while retaining essential consent memory. Analytics is disclosed but not deployed on this site today.
